To provide an organisation for ASEAN Accountants for the further advancement of the status of the profession in the region with the view to establishing an ASEAN philosophy on the accounting profession.
A significant milestone for the beginning of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand has been reached. The New Zealand Parliament has given the green light to the formal amalgamation of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.
The Accounting Infrastructure Reform Bill (AIRB) has passed its third reading paving the way for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand to officially amalgamate. The Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants have joined forces to form a new professional body in response to the unique challenges and opportunities of today’s commercial environment.
The new trans–Tasman professional body will have over 100,000 members and the new organisation will focus on the education and lifelong learning of members, and engage in advocacy and thought leadership in areas that impact the economy and domestic and international capital markets by utilising the reach from an expanded membership base.
