New AFA leadership is ready to lead AFA to continue building a relevant and reputable accountancy profession in ASEAN
The two-year AFA leadership under President Voravit Janthanakul of TFAC will conclude on 31 December 2023. Under his leadership, AFA continues to progress and collaborate with its member organisations, partners, and stakeholders to develop the accountancy profession in ASEAN.
As announced during the handover ceremony at the 23rd AFA Conference, effective 1 January 2024, Deputy President Professor Dr. Doan Xuan Tien of VAA will commence his term as the AFA President together with incoming Deputy President Dr. Ardan Adiperdana of IAI and Treasurer Lim Yeong Seng of ISCA. The AFA leadership is based on the rotation of the AFA Primary Members, pairing representatives of developed and developing Professional Accountancy Organisations.
Professor Dr. Tien is the Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA), Vice Chairman of the Scientific Council of Vietnam State Audit, Vice Chairman of the Editorial Council of the Auditing Scientific Research Journal, and a Professor of Economics at the Academy of Finance, Vietnam.
