AFA Promotes Adoption of International Standards to ASEAN CPAs

Capacity building of ASEAN accountants is a key ingredient for a successful integration of the ASEAN accountancy profession

AFA was invited to participate at the 2nd ASEAN CPA Conference, organised by the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (BOA) in cooperation with the PICPA around the theme of “Forging Alliances. Strengthening Links.”, the conference was attended by more than 600 registered accountants from around the region.

Presenting at a session on “Understanding the Landscape of the Accounting Profession in the ASEAN Region”, AFA, represented by Executive Director Aucky Pratama shared about the varying accounting frameworks and standards used by different ASEAN Member States and how understanding this can create awareness, improve readiness, and equip ASEAN CPAs with the knowledge needed for a regional and global practice.
