IFRS in the CLMV

On December 8, 2002, AFA together with ACCA co-organised a webinar focusing on IFRS adoption and implementation opportunities and challenges in the CLMV (i.e., Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam).

Close to 200 participants joined the session via the event Zoom platform, with more than 1,700 reaches and 255 engagements recorded in the event Facebook live broadcast. Participants listened to sharing from and exchanges between the CLMV representatives, regional experts, and IASB Member, Rika Suzuki. The webinar serves as a platform for sharing and aims to provide policy makers, business leaders and practitioners from the CLMV countries with a platform to share and learn more from their peers on IFRS implementation opportunities and challenges.


Two articles have been produced as a result of the webinar:

• Article highlighting the key messages from the webinar, now published on ACCA’s March 2021 issue of AB magazine: IFRS in the Mekong region (accaglobal.com)
